HELLA COOL RANGER
OWNER'S NAME: Jason Patton
YEAR & MAKE: '93 Ford Ranger
Suspension: A Total Cost Involved triangulated four-link combined with four-wheel airbags lay this Ranger hard on the pavement.
Body Mods: The body was dropped 3 inches down over the frame to plant the rockers on the ground when the air is dumped from the 'bags. The shave job is extensive and includes filled stake pockets in the bed, shaved emblems, fuel filler door, taillights, antenna hole, door handles, and a molded tailgate. The stock bumper is also gone and has been replaced with a smooth roll pan. New billet taillights also reside in the upper portion of what used to be the tailgate.
Wheels & Tires: 18-inch Elite Avalon's are enveloped in 215/35ZR18 rubberbands.
Miscellaneous: A gas tank pulled from a Ford Bronco II replaced the stock tank. Bucket seats from a Pontiac Fiero replaced the stock bench seat. The cab has been outfitted with a Lexan rear window, tweed interior, and a Rockford Fosgate audio system.
Project Notes: Jason plans on executing a few more body mods, custom painting it afterwards. In addition, he'll install a small-block under a new cowl-induction hood. Jason thanks David Duncan, Jason Morgan, and Tommy Emert for their help.

RANGER NUMERO DOS
OWNER'S NAME: Eric Johnson
YEAR & MAKE: '94 Ford Ranger
LOCATION: Prospect,Maine
CLUB AFFILIATION: Ground Scraper
Suspension: The backbone of this dragger is a custom chassis built out of 2x4 box tubing. A disc brake-equipped front clip, taken from a Toyota mini, was grafted onto the new chassis and mated with Firestone airbags. A new four-linked rear suspension was welded onto a Ford 9-inch, disc brake-equipped rearend that was stolen out of a Ford Bronco. Again, Firestone airbags were installed to provide adjustability.
Body Mods: A 3.5-inch body drop combined with the new chassis enabled Eric to cut rockers off of the cab and lay the doors flat on the ground. Inside of the bed, Eric fabricated an aluminum fuel cell and then built his own bed floor from 3/16-inch sheet aluminum with 1/2-inch tubing for support. The stock front sheetmetal was then replaced with an '02 Ranger front end and the body went under the knife. The body lines, taillights, door handles, rain gutters, third brake light, taillights, and emblems were all shaved. Toyota Supra taillights were then frenched vertically into the rear of the bed. Newcomb Autobody performed the mods and the HOK guide coat primer performer work.
Wheels/Tires: 18x8-inch MKW7 rims are sandwiched between 215/35R18 Nitto tires.
Engine/Drivetrain: The 5.0L powerplant and C-6 automatic transmission came from a '91 Ford Mustang.
Project Notes: Eric is constantly changing his mini and adding new mods. Thus far, he's taken a First Place trophy in the Under Construction class at the 2K2 All Truck Nat's. Eric would like to thank his friends and fellow Ground Scrapers for all the parts, time, and effort.
